Directions

From Inverness

Follow the A9 north, the A835 and A832 to Garve and Achnasheen, then turn left on the A890 to Lochcarron. Journey time about ninety minutes.  

From Fort William

Go North on the A82 to Invergarry, the A87 to Kintail, then three miles past Eilean Donan Castle turn right on to the A890. Allow two hours. All Highland journeys by road are subject to delays imposed by weather and the increased volume of holiday traffic in summer.  

By Train

From Inverness to Strathcarron there are two to three trains each day on the Kyle Line, journey time about one hour forty minutes (CHECK THIS). A local mini- bus service takes passengers to and from the station to the centre of Lochcarron. 

By Sea

By yacht to Lochcarron pier, in front of the Lochcarron Hotel. Mooring for visitors available. See North-west Pilot.
